Matilde Gomez

My name is Matilde Gomez and I’m in 11th grade at MAST Academy in Miami. Being part of Soulful Movement means a lot to me because I really care about mental health and how it affects people every day. What I love most is how it brings people together and creates a space where everyone feels supported and understood. Through my photography I strive to capture Soulful Movement Events and the community that it has built.

Mara Coloma

My name is Mara, I’m a junior in high school and for me photography and video making has been a great part of my life. It all started in quarantine when even if i could not go out into the world I could still experience it by looking through my lens. My camera brought comfort and helped me go through stages of isolation and self doubt, and I am extremely grateful to be able to use it to spread awareness of mental health through this empowering initiative.

Gabriela Mesa

Hi, my name is Gaby Mesa. I’m 16 years old, from Medellín, Colombia, and I’m hoping to study something media-related! Since I was little, I’ve always been drawn to pictures and videos, but especially after moving from Colombia to Miami, I’ve viewed capturing the world and creatively presenting moments as my own way of self-expression. As a high school student, I’ve never been more aware of the importance of mental health than I am now, which is why I love being able to use my passion for media as a tool to increase the outreach and impact this unique wellness movement can have!!
